We often tend to slight serious meditation and prayer as something not really necessary. To be sure, we feel it it something that might help us to meet an occasional emergency, but at first many of us are apt to regard it as a somewhat mysterious skill of clergymen, from which we may hope to get a secondhand benefit.

Prison Outreach Service Team of CO., Ltd.

The mission of CO’s Prison Outreach Service Team (COPOST) is to accompany and provide resources to those affected by incarceration as they learn and practice Centering Prayer, as well as to support volunteers, both inside and outside locked facilities, who are called to engage in this activity, that together we may share in the process of divine transformation.

Each of us has been profoundly affected by transformation (our own and others’) “inside the walls”. We have tasted new freedom from our own emotional programs for happiness through this outreach and would be glad to hear from you at centering@cpprisonoutreach.org.
